Congratulations to First Peoples Economic Growth Fund CEO, Fabian Sanderson, for being named on Manitoba’s Ten to Watch List! We are proud to celebrate Fabian’s exceptional leadership in driving sustainable growth, empowering Indigenous communities, and promoting economic development across Manitoba.

Arrowhead Development Corporation (ADC) is the economic arm of Long Plain Reserve No. 6, Keeshkeemaqua Reserve (Portage la Prairie), and Long Plain Madison Indian Reserve (Winnipeg). The First Peoples Economic Growth Fund (FPEGF) is proud to support ADC’s efforts to build the Madison Petro Canada gas station in 2015. The award-winning Madison station exceeded opening revenue goals, providing a space for Long Plain to prosper, contributing to the community’s resilience and independence.

It is with immense sadness that we extend our condolences. Grand Chief Merrick was a formidable leader whose dedication to Indigenous reconciliation and the betterment of all First Nations in Manitoba touched countless lives. Her influence reached far beyond Manitoba, impacting Indigenous communities across Canada.

Treaty One Territory, Manitoba – On July 24th, 2024, the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs (AMC) held its 36th Annual General Assembly, which included elections for the roles of AMC Grand Chief and AFN Regional Chief. The election was conducted by Stephanie Connors.

This summer, we had the pleasure of both sponsoring and participating in the Neebing 2024 Golf Tournament and the 4th Annual Nation Challenge Golf Tournament. We are grateful to the organizers and other participants for the fantastic opportunity to play in such great company.

On July 31st, 2024, We celebrated 11 incredible years with Our CEO, Fabian Sanderson. Over the past decade, Fabian has driven significant growth within our organization.

FPEGF was honoured to take part in the Grand Opening for FN Paper and Chemical Supply Ltd. We wish them success in all of their endeavors and look forward to future growth and expansion within their company. FPEGF would like to congratulate both winners of the NACCA - Indigenous Business Awards. FPEGF was fortunate to be in attendance at the 2023 Indigenous Prosperity Forum to witness Michelle Cameron of Dreamcatcher Promotions win the Indigenous Business of the Year – Award of Excellence, as well as Christa Bruneau-Guenther of Feast Cafe Bistro win the Indigenous Women Entrepreneur – Award of Excellence.
